This was our first stop at the 115 Restaurant & Truckstop, but I've had it on my list for a really long time. Mostly because we usually have a quick breakfast at home before we leave and we're not hungry by the time we are passing by. Also, we want to be hungry for lunch at some of our favorite Japanese restaurants in Arlington Heights, IL. But this time we purposely left home hungry and got here hungry. I spotted it as one of my Yelp buddies, Kent, seems to live here and that's good enough for me.
We arrived just before 10am on a Sunday to find an almost-full parking lot as well as a packed dining room and quickly learned it is a seat-yourself place. Our server came over within a minute or two with menus and took our drink order. Since Kent always has tea, I thought I'd better try the coffee and found it to be good enough that it didn't need any additives!
My wife was fully prepared to order her usual Oatmeal but something about Breakfast Burrito was calling to her, so she went with that. I had too many things I wanted and was heavily (not a statement in any way on the food) leaning towards Biscuits & Gravy but ended up choosing the Southern Omelette with Hash Browns and Toast.
Because it was very busy, it took about ten minutes for our order to come out. I have to say that the anticipation based on reviews and photos was completely justified. Everything was excellent including large portions, perfect Hash Browns that were crunchy on top without being over cooked, best Gravy (I could put this on anything and take it up a notch) on my Omelette, and delicious Breakfast Burrito.
The staff we dealt with were attentive and friendly and my coffee never got below half. Good food, good service, good portions, good prices...what's not to like? We may have to leave home hungry more often! I couldn't find any rooftop seating...oh, and clean restrooms! -

Yelp has heightened my awareness of the many social issues in today's society.
Whenever I check in here at the restaurant, I am reminded of the many deficiencies that this establishment embraces.
Do they use plastic straws? Whenever I order hot tea they never bring a straw to me so I can't comment.
Do they have rooftop dining? Sadly, the answer is no. I'm sure they have plenty of room on the roof, but they provide no seating up there for your dining pleasure.
Do they have lactation rooms? Sadly again, no. On behalf of all truck drivers, I want to get this off of my chest. I reach out to persons of any gender that are lactating, and encourage them to bare all, and express themselves.
Do they provide high chairs? They have never offered one to me, so perhaps not. You would think that if they had them readily available, there would be one at each table and booth.
(Okay, I saw some stacked up in the corner).
Do they have outdoor seating? Again, no.
Is there a parking garage nearby? No.
Is street parking available? No.
Do they have validated parking? No.
Do they have gender neutral restrooms? No.
Are we getting the picture here?!? All of my responses are negative. So it it me, or the restaurant that makes Yelp mad? Maybe if they offered validated parking ...... things might improve.
Oh yeah - the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are great.
Plus, I receive a Military Discount of 10% just for the asking. -

I don't go here too often but when I do I usually get the biscuits and gravy for breakfast and boy do they load you up!! I am very full by the time I'm done eating for a very good price. I also really like their burgers too. I really like this place though I often order for takeout, I'm sure I'll bring the wife in one of these days for dinner. Keep it up 115!!

If you're looking for great service(our waitress couldn't have been sweeter or more attentive), TASTY, reasonably priced food & an awesome cup of coffee here is where you should stop.

If you want a hands down great breakfast...the 115 is where you need to go! The wait staff is friendly, and the biscuits and gravy are superb. Pretty much everything is great here for breakfast!!
